Dear Teddy Bear Parents,
This past month your students were very busy learning to recognize the letters O, and P, Q and R as well as their sounds with the help of our letter chants. For the letter O we learned about opposites. For the letter R, we collected recyclable materials to build our own robot.
We celebrated 100 Days of School by doing a variety of activities that helped them recognize numbers and count by tens. They performed a chant in the Chapel and were very excited to receive candies from our elementary students.
For Valentine’s Day, they learned ways to say, “I love you”, such as using words, giving hugs, and even using sign language. They made Valentine holders, did crafts, and enjoyed their party.
In March the Teddy Bears will study the letters T, U, and V. During the weeks of March 10th and 17th we will celebrate our diversity with a multicultural theme. We will send out a questionnaire for each family and ask that you bring in items of clothing, cooking utensils, food, etc. from your culture.
Friday, March 14th is a student/teacher holiday.
On Friday, March 21st, there is a parent club meeting. All parents are encouraged to attend. The children should be at school at 6:45 and the meeting will begin right at 7 pm. Please bring your child to the classroom and then find a seat in the church. Children’s projects will be on display and refreshments will be served after the meeting.
We thank you for your support and look forward to another great month with your children!
